1. Sauna
12 - 15 mins
75 to 95 °C
3 sauna rounds. A trained guide leads with breathwork, curated music, essential oils and rhythmic fanning. Release stress and re-centre the mind.
2. Cold Plunge
3 - 5 mins
6 to 10 °C
Reset after each sauna round with a short ice bath or cold shower. Build resilience and reset the nervous system.

Our African botanicals, Scandinavian heritage oils, energy, heat, sound, and airflow differs slightly with each round and session type, but the goal remains the same: to create a simple ritual that leaves you calm, clear, and centered.

Please check in with our friendly team around 10 mins before your session. We pride ourselves on running a tight ship. Changing into swimming cozzies, bringing a towel and using our showers are mandatory beforehand to keep things lovely and clean.
Bring a water bottle to refresh from our electrolytes and spring water, and find a seat inside until the facilitator starts the class.

The first sauna round, around 10 minutes in length, introduces both regulars and first timers to the space and the session. You'll be invited to close your eyes, breathe deeply and fully ground your body and mind in the experience.

After each sauna round, we invite you to shower and take a cold plunge in our ice baths, with different temperatures to suit your preference. This resets the body and calms the mind, preparing you for two more rounds of heat, breath, oils, and airflow.

SaunaHaus is bringing something unique to Cape Town. Here are some important things to know.
A swimming costume, 2 towels (one to sit on and one to dry yourself at the end), sandals and a water bottle. Lockers & change room are available, please leave valuables at home.
Each session lasts around 60 minutes, with three rounds of sauna, cold shower, and optional plunge. Our guided sessions are 60 minutes with 3 rounds of sauna, shower, cold plunge, shower. Unguided sessions are sold at 60 minutes and you are able to follow your own flow through hot and cold. Please arrive 10 minutes before your session and leave no more than 30 minutes after.
No, if the session has started and the door has been closed, please wait outside until the next phase of the session begins, you are welcome to join in with the group from then on.
We operate a strict no-show and late cancellation policy. Please check the booking details. Bookings can be cancelled and refunded up to 24 hours in advance, and rescheduling is allowed until the session is in progress. If you miss the class and do not reschedule, you will lose that booking and no refund or transfer is available.
For everyone’s benefit, we keep our space clean and respectful. Please shower before entering the sauna, a swimming costume or other active wear is required. It is required to sit on a towel in the sauna. Respectful behaviour is essential, no exceptions. We reserve the right to request you to leave if your behaviour is unsuitable.
If you have any health concerns, particularly cardiovascular issues, please consult your doctor before joining. No under 18’s without parental supervision.
Safety and hygiene are of paramount importance to us, we deep clean between each session and otherwise as needed. All guests must shower before entering the sauna as well as between sessions.
